Remembrance Sunday this year, thanks to the pandemic, has had to be curtailed, but that does not mean we should forget! Given the dangerous times we live in, it is more important than ever to remember the heroes of the past, and learn from the horrors of war. South Swindon Parish Council has already created two new war memorials in Faringdon Park and Queen’s Park and restored the V stone memorial in the Old Town Gardens. Here is a video of the Covid-safe commemoration held in Queen’s Park to unveil the latest SSPC-backed memorial, designed by local artist Mike Pringle.
